Build a Robot Together
Vicky brings Little Robot’s adventures to life through an engaging author reading, followed by questions, discussion and an optional creative activity.
Explore storytelling, illustration, character creation, nature, digital creativity and problem-solving through activities adapted to each age group.
Children work in teams to design and construct a robot, then return after drying time to decorate, solve problems and present their creation.
A Creative Homecoming
Vicky returned to Unicorn School, where she was once a pupil, to share Little Robot’s story with a new generation of children.
The pupils met the handmade Little Robot, listened to Vicky read and asked questions about the story, its characters and how the books were created.
During the visit, Vicky also discovered that one of her own childhood school photographs was still on display—a lovely full-circle moment.
Sharing her historic school photograph alongside new classroom memories demonstrated to children how early artistic curiosity can grow into a lifelong vocation.
